The SCC is comprised of faculty, trainees, and staff. The 5 core faculty members lead a wide range of research projects focused on sleep and chronobiology. Numerous trainees—including undergraduate, graduate, medical student/resident, and postdoctoral—work closely alongside the core faculty. Dedicated research staff execute the day-to-day operations of the numerous research projects being conducted in the Center.
In addition, SCC researchers collaborate closely with faculty across the University of Pittsburgh campus, including the Graduate School of Public Health, Department of Psychology, Department of Neuroscience, School of Nursing, and Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine.
Located within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh,
the Sleep and Chronobiology Center (SCC) was formed
by a group of researchers dedicated to improving public health through
research, training, and dissemination of sleep and circadian science.
